It's how I feel, thanks to all the day trippers for coming and making our end look special but don't make a habit of it cause I like Southend just the way it is local small and mine. And I'm getting a t shirt printed with the above title printed on it :smile:

To be fair I'd rather have the bigger fan-base, increased revenue and all that goes with that, but to each his own... :winking:

Lesson to be learnt don't post when drunk and emotionally knackered I meant united:blush:

Love em or hate em , the additional 25,000 extra people contributed a large amount of dosh to the kitty and if some go to the Hall more money for SUFC.

I know the above makes sense, but the inane drivel that came out of the mouths of some of the people on the day just made me realise that I would rather sit with my friends on a cold Roots Hall seat and watch Southend play than ever watch a premier ship side with day trippers.

Shouldn't begrudge the fan overflow - we all started somewhere and probably on a southend united glory trail. for me it was promotion to the championship back in the early 90s. not missed since!
If we get another 1000 regulars, its been a massive boost for the club.
Welcome aboard. Enjoy the ride! Have to have a strong stomach though

As I mentioned yesterday , 'inane drivel' is not the sole property of the daytrippers.
Some of our regulars are masters at the art.
But a boost to the funds was well needed , so no complaints from me.
Plus , 4,800 die hards on Sunday would have made our 'end' look rather silly.................
