The team that got relegated to where we are now which is better

That's very generous to Clifford, Seaden, Ferguson, ANG and the McCormack of 20/21

Yes sorry now corrected (Seaden was worse)... I still think ANG and McCormack (even 2020/21 version) were better. Ferguson is a 50/50.

I'm a bit confused as to which way you're meaning this, are you saying these are better/worse than what we have now, or what we have now is better/worse to these?

Good point OBL didn't think of that but Humprhys/Goodship gives it away I feel!

I thought that, but failed to see how Nathaniel-George, as he was then, Tom Clifford and Nathan Ferguson were better, and Harry Kyprianou worse!

I think that 20/21 squad is actually a bit more grim than it looks on paper. Kelman left in October after 3 appearances and Humphrys left in September having made no appearances. We might have been okay had we had those two up front for the majority of the season. Instead, we had to persevere with Akinola and Goodship up front, the former being injured for a large part too. When that failed, we tried Holmes, ANG and even Halford upfront before panic signing Ranger who was a disaster.

Don’t get me wrong, there were some good players in that 20/21 squad - White, Demi, Elvis, Dieng, Hart, Hutchinson etc. but I think our current squad is far, far better and dare I say it, would’ve likely kept us up that season.
