Southampton FC - In the ****

Bielzibubz

President
Breaking news is that their parent company has been called into administration after failure to obtain extra funding from their bank. No links on any news channels as yet.

Could this be just the start of something much bigger for those considered to be the big clubs of the English domestic game?

Will this prompt the tightening of the purse strings amongst those so called big clubs akin to what's happened in F1?

What kind of repercussions could this have for other clubs beholden to their financial masters?

As the story unfolds could this be the catalyst that finally brings back some financial sanity to the top flight of the English game?

No

After what happened to us that should have been enough of a warning. If anything the premiership is worse now with most clubs having huge debts they will struggle to pay. If sky pulled out tomorrow we would risk losing english football as a whole

Hopefully we'll finally get some regulations to stop over spending and protect the game we love.

A shame for Southampton though, a nice club.

People were too busy celebrating to bother contemplating that, I believe telab.

The only side I pay attention to is Southend, far as I'm concerned, the only articles I read about other sides are the match reports when they play us.
