I know it’s not technically Southend United related, but just saw this pop up on Twitter, which maybe of interest to some:



Not sure what it all means, but some of the accounts published included a time when they were the parent company of Southend United.

Maybe someone, with more knowledge on this subject, can help.

The Balance Sheet Investments are made up of South Eastern Leisure Company Ltd £6,162,922 and Soccer Stadium PLC £2,000,000. The investment in Southend United looks like it was written down to a nil value years ago.

Previous accounts have shown rental income of around £450,000 which looks like it stopped a few years back. Presumably that was rent charged for the ground.

If the company isn't trading as such and is just a holding company, its very possible that there would be no movement in the figures at all.

Forgot to add though, that if there were no transactions, why weren't the January 2021 accounts filed much earlier than November 2024?

Maybe the accountants wanted paying upfront
