Sound problem on my computer

About a month ago now I had a virus on my computer and completely wiped everything off of it and started again. After i did this I now have no sound for some reason. There is nothing wrong with my speakers but it doesnt seem to be picking them up. I've done a google search for the problem and it seems it is fixable but as I know nothing about computers really I cant seem to get anywhere, can somebody help me?

Nope it says I have "No Audio Device" and my default sound playback device is set to "Modem #0 Line Playback" with no other options in the dropdown.

Sounds like you need to maybe install the drivers again.

Did you get any discs with your speaker system? If so, shove it in and re-install...

Right click on 'MY Computer' and choose 'Manage'

Open 'device manager' and then open 'sound. video and game controllers'

click on any options that have a question mark or a red cross next to them.

This should enable and sound devices. You may need to reboot , but you should then have an option in playback devices.

If not, you will need to go to the PC manufacturers website and look up sound device installs.

Maybe go to Soundmax website and download audio drivers for your PC.
