Well as I stated the other day , They don't know what they are doing..These plans for recovery will NOT work...It is a world wide recession and no amount of taxing and cutting will help , it will just drive this country further into the mire and recession.

They need to take a long term look, not base everything on this ridiculous quick fix mass programme of suicide.

Can I ask why in your youth you were involved with the Communist Party that had connections to extreme left wing terrorist groups. Just how you mixed a weekday up with a month intriges me. And Carlos was involved with Black September, it was where he first came to prominence.

1.Freudian slip.Multi-tasking at the time,which I'm not that good at.
I remember September 92 well.I was doing an intensive course at the Business school I used to work at.Remember me and another colleague(ex IMG)were in front of SKY/BBC news every break we had, as we just couldn't believe what was going down.

2.I can state categorically, that when I was a member of the Party, there were no official links to any left wing terrorist groups.
When I was a student in Birmingham however in the early/mid 70's (and politically non-aligned,apart from a brief period in the Labour party)I had plenty of contacts with IS(later SWP) and IMG members who were terrorists - at least as far as the Special Branch were concerned.I can remember going to quite a few parties in that era where the householders had been raided by the SB,looking for IRA suspects, in what were according to the SB, safe houses.

3.I wasn't sure about Carlos, which was why I asked.It wasn't exactly on his CV at the time.I've ordered the French dvd I mentioned,btw so will get back to you on what's in that.
