Someone's pushing me to the darkside

Support him and encourage him. If he gets to 18 and is still there and if he is any good, get him to leave and join Southend.

I see this as a good thing, a spy in the camp. Brilliant! Rather than lacing boots perhaps he could lace their first team's pre-match drinks.

Congratulate him, and then console him, but don't mention it tooooo often , for not quite being up to scratch and having to make do with one of the lesser teams in Essex.
Then encourage him to work really hard in training and to practice regularly so he can improve and get out of there.
Maybe with a bit of hard work he could get spotted by Billericay or even Chelmsford, with a lot of hard work and a bit of luck, he may end up at southend, but without improvement he will, alas, remain an inbred.
Don't be too harsh on the lad though, he is probably in a very dark place at the moment and his self confidence must be shattered.

Take him for a kickabout in the park, then play keep ball, go in at ankle height and end his career before you have to worry about things such as him scoring a goal against your beloved club and he can get a job in IT or something and grow old to tell people how he was on the books of a club as a boy and people around him go "yeah right".

Some of you are pretty sick. We may not like Col U as a team, but to incite harm against a young kid getting his chance in a fantastic career is a bit over the top...

Jealousy?
