...of all the superb things that have been written by Southend fans, many of them posted here on SZ, after the Man U match. From SlipperDuke and GroyneStrain's contributions, to PickledSeals story of the picture of the scoreboard on his Whiteboard at school, and hundreds of posts inbetween, there has been a torrent of inspired, insightful and moving contributions.

Such a compilation would make a superb and moving souvenir, perhaps the Trust could do it to raise money for SUSCT?

Yeah, some classic stories.
When I sat down to watch the match, in the frame of mind of witnessing an exhibition match the bloke next to me said "Never have I been so confident we'll lose"
.... At half time he was busy fiddling with his mobile. "What's up everyone texting you !"
"Nah... ! I'm trying to put a bet on !"
With 15 minutes to go I said to those around me... "This is unbelievable, I'm starting to dream the impossible."
I was laughed at... I laughed at myself...what a bloody stupid thing to think of.

It would make a great printed piece of history and as everyone says football is about the fans and the emotions we feel. SZ has had my attention now for 48 hours with lots of stories and I would love to keep these as a memory of the joy I and thousands of others felt on the 7th Nov 2006

yeah would be a great idea

i'd love to see a collection of all the clippings from papers too - - i guess there are copyright issues there though!
maybe i just want everything i can to do with this historic moment so i can relive it over and over and wave in front of every manu fan for the rest of my life

and maybe i'm allowed to want that!?!
