Quote[/b] (skoda man @ Aug. 15 2004,21:08)]This was my 1st game this season after returning from a week in cyprus

Its only 3 games at the moaners are out in force yet again

but to those so called supporters with there constant abuse
you might as well stay away in my opion you are not supporters of the blues
First we are not moaners but people who actually know something about football and can see the rubbish that is being served up, we chosse to voice our opinions so that the players might actually hear that some of us actually arent actually over the moon with the level of performance that they are more than happy to provide! If you were happy with it then go and start watching conference football now in preperation for where we will end up next season if we continue to play like that!

Second there is nothing wrong with giving players some stick if they are not putting in the performances. They are paid very well for not doing very much and quite frankly do not desereve to be paid after that performance. Its the same situation as West Ham who lost 3-1 at home to Wigan today and Im sure at the end of the game all of there fans werent saying oh well never mind, dont let the players know we angry and disgusted by their display incase they get upset! I pay to get in and I am free to say what I want- which despite what you may think is more sensible than some of the rubbish i read on here.

Thirdly its us so called bad supporters who actually attend the games to back the team all over the contry. Sorry i forgot the majority of Shrimpergeeks on here cant ever really make valid match reports and comments as they hardly ever see the games first hand! Maybe instead of living in front of your computers you might actually try and go to the games and show us how to supposedly 'support' the team!

Fourthly maybe its you who shouldnt bother to attend the games. Oh and by the way Skodas are sh*t!

I'm sure no-one is ''over the moon''!
And shouting abuse is NOT ''backing'' the team all over the ''contry'' (whatever that is).

And just because a handfull of supporters live abroad does not mean that they have'nt travelled and put in the time and money to back the boy's home or away.
Get a grip will you!

I wasnt doubting that i was just making my point in relation to saturdays game!

Einstein you cant be a complete genius because you talk rubbish. I wasnt trying to say Im Bobby Robson but instead could could actually see and understand the quality of football and level of performance that I have been watching. Which has been complete and utter rubbish!

Everyone has got to get behind the team but there is nothing wrong with lettin them know how you feel! Maybe its you that spends too much time playing Champ Manager by friend! no doubt you are one of the idiots that would take Southend to the Premiership on the game and then make an application when a position becomes vacant!

Skoda man- quite frankly if you did give me the font view of your car it would do more damage to your -um 'motor car' than me. I couldnt care less how quickly you got there and back it still doesnt hide the fact that Skodas are about as good as a bird with hairy arse and nipples! JUST WRONG!!!

benny blue

i was making my point in a diffrent thread about saturday game

the LUMPY BOYS would do more damage to my car than u i would just get the satisfaction of running you over just to
shut you up

hairy arses and nipples i dont want to hear about your latest conquest

Interesting.. You stopped posting on SZ because you were fed up with all the negative feedback you received.

Now you say you can't see anything wrong with letting the team know how you feel.

Doesn't work, does it? You can't have it both ways. I have been following SUFC for 38 seasons now. It has always been the same, a hard core of "fans" without the self control to stop them shooting their mouths off and the sense to understand how much damage they can do to player confidence and team moral. It takes courage NOT to shout abuse at the players.

We finished last season playing well. We have a large proportion of the same squad, and the general concensus on the new players was that they were an assett. The management team is the same. For goodness sake come down from your judgemental high chair and give the team a break and some encouragement.

PS the difference between you and wiggy is that wiggy only EVER posted complaints. Fair enough, you actually do suggest some constructive changes

I may be wrong... but aren't Skoda's made and owned by VW now... thus making them German by default (and has been the case for a good few years)?

benny the blue

you can insult my car its only metal but ill draw the line at
involving my mother in your thread

my mother has hear it all before and at 77 she could give u a good run for money trust me

so i expect a apology from you otherwise things will get nasty
that i can promise you

and for your information skoda is the offical car of the football league so you will just have to get used to having them around for may years to come

overseas shrimper

yes they are owned by vw and actually my car is a passat very handy getting down to see my son at cheltenham univ

I'd like to suggest that Benny The Blue does offer an apology to Skoda Man. The remark involving his mother was in bad taste and I think this has all got a little out of hand.

Suggesting things will get nasty is also pointless and aggitating the situation, although I understand the anger here.

I know some of us make mother/father-related jokes, but that's done between people who know each other and know that it's okay to push those buttons. In this case, I think it was an offensive remark, which if I understand correctly, is breaking one of the rules of this board.

Your juvenile level has been shown once again! Saying someone 'talk’s rubbish' shows this, obviously your one of these people that cannot have a debate without throwing around insults!

You know nothing about football and obviously very little about Southend United. For the majority of Southend's 98 year history has been spent in the bottom division, and most often in the bottom half of that division too. SUFC is not about supporting a club that will provide excitement week in week out. We are a bottom division club, if you want your superstars then your supporting the wrong club.

And for the record, I have played Championship Manager on a few and rare occasions. And I would never apply for Tilly's job as I have a very nice well paid job already thank you.

I think you need to take a step back and see how pathetic you are acting.

My aploogies if my childish post offended you.

Anyway less of this rubbish- I am still not happy with the teams commitment and performances and will continue to voice my opinion until they decide to prove me wrong!

David Beckham summed it up brilliantly in a BBC interview today with regards to supporters and the comments they make.

"If you play well, you enjoy what people say about you. If you don't play well, then you have to accept what is said about you as well''

THATS COMING FROM THE ENGALND CAPTAIN- SO IM SURE THAT THIRD DIVISION PLAYERS ARE ALLOWED TO TAKE SOME STICK IF THEY DONT PUT IT IN!

One of the things that concern me is that abuse to players could really affect their attitude to playing for us. If I went to work and my performance was greeted with "Go away you useless person" or offensive words to that effect , how long would it be before I really didn't want to be there.
I am the first to complain if I don't receive value for money (you should have been with me at the massage parlour last week ) but I am sure hurling abuse at the players on the pitch is not the right way to do it. Last year yours truly , Scriv and JS went to Roots Hall to talk with Rob Newman , Crowny and Steve Tilson when we felt things should be done better , why not try getting an appointment  and talking concerns over with the Management ? You might even get a job out of it , Scriv did !!!!

1. Lets hope you don't sit near me on saturday then, because you certainly won't voice abusive opinions at certain individuals if they are not playing well.

2. He is paid £112,000 a week. Not one person at SUFC is paid that a YEAR! Its more or less saying everyone who plays football should expect to be barracked if they are not playing well.
If I got personal abuse when I play locally, I probably wouldn't want to bother turning up. Unfortunately they have a contract though to fulfil and bills to pay, so they have to turn up. I certainly understand why they then play sh*t week in week out as I certainly wouldn't do my job to a excellent standard if I wasn't happy in it.

I think your getting alittle over exited about the whole 'Protect our Players' thing, whats going to happen in the winter months are you going to stay in and knit them all wolly leg ins

Or cook their favourite meals after training? Nutrition is as important as good support. We are all what we eat after all?
