Youth Team
I've just being looking at the final league table and there are some interesting stats :-

We were 2nd highest scorers, our 77 goals were 2 fewer than Gillingham.

Our home goal tally of 36,was only equal 9th.

Our 41 away goals was the highest in the league,5 more than Rotherham.

Our goal difference of +29 was 2nd only to Swindon (+43) and was substantially
better than our play-off rivals (Torquay +13,Cheltenham +16 and Crewe +8 ).

Some positive stats. as we go into the play-offs.

UTB

3rd best defence behind Swindon and Shrewsbury with 48 conceded.

Scored first in 27 games, 2nd only behind Swindon, and also more impressively have never lost when scoring first. On the flip side our record when conceding first is quite poor, losing 13 of the 17 games where that has happened.

We also have not lost a game where we were winning at half time, on 19 occasions.

Some more stats to dispel "Crewe are the form team" thoughts:

Over the last 8 games we are second in the form table, only to Shrewsbury. Crewe are fifth.

Over the same period we have a goal difference of +10, which is 3 better than next best Swindon and 5 better than Crewe.

Against other teams in the play-offs, we have taken 13 points. Crewe have taken 7.

Crewe are on the sort of run we were when we reached the L1 play offs v Doncaster (we had 1 defeat in 18 or something akin)

No one needs reminding what happened next

But playing away from home first is a welcome difference to 07/08.
