Sodje injured

Efe has been ruled out of tonights match v Coventry with an achilles injury.

With spinner also injured, thats Barrett and Clarke in the middle then.

They are too similar for me and Clarke has been fairly woeful of late. He needs a big performance or its another spanking I fear.

Worst news possible.

Last year we were very lucky to have few injuries with our small squad. This year it looks like we're getting all the bad luck.

In fairness it does say a "slight" achilles injury so maybe it won't be too long

Its nothing to do with luck.

In previous seasons Tilly made sure we had a squad full of durable players. Remember when he signed Andy Edwards one of the things he pointed out was that he consistently played 40 games a season.

Look at who we have got out injured:

Prior - been nursed through the last two seasons, no-one expected him to play more than half the games this season anyway
Sodje - getting on, and just recovered from a broken leg, always likely to be susceptible to injuries with that combination
Ricketts - we knew we were getting a striker who hadn't played 20 games in a season for years (if ever) and with a questionable attitude
Harrold - young forward, looks like he is still developing the strength needed to play his role. I doubt he has played more than 20 league games for the full 90 minutes.

I think the only injury we've probably been unlucky with is Paynter's, as he didn't miss many games for Port Vale.

The only reason I said he wa injured is because he's not mentioned in the squad as listed in the Echo, so I assumed he was injured. He was out for the Derby match so I guess his recurrent ankle sprain hasn't yet cleared up.

Are you sure Sodje is injured? Skysports are saying....

Efe Sodje is back in contention after a reserve-team run out but Lee Bradbury and Che Wilson are sidelined.

I know Sky aren't always accurate but the Echo can't always be trusted.

If he's available we will win
