Been trying to come up with some ideas of jobs for the future and coaching football in America came to mind. Just wondering if anyones done it or has any information about it? Always wanted to live in America at some point, so that and coaching football at the same time seems a good shout..
Typed it into google and theres alot of websites about it but just interested if anyones got anything on it? Cheers SZ'ers.

Yeah James Brush (Paul's son) who is my manager for ShrimperZone FC II is currently out there untill october.

Do you have facebook if so i will send you the link to his and you will be able to contact him through that.

Well, I've coached in the US, so if you have any specific questions I'd be more than happy to help. I also have some contacts, mainly here in Denver, but a couple in other places around the country, so let me know where specifically you are looking to go. I definitely won't make any promises, but I can see if I can get a hold of anyone that might be able to help you out with getting a job.

I did it in 2002, and my brother has been living there for the past 6 years coaching full time. Get your badges and there is bound to be someone on the course or at soccer schools here who have contacts in the US,....they do seem to love having English coaches.

If you havent got badges or many contacts yet, you might want to do something like CampAmerica first at a sports orientated camp and get some contacts from there. Even if it doesnt lead anywhere its bloody good fun!

Im doing it for a year next summer with any luck, but be aware that if you plan to move to America you'll need a definite offer of a coaching position if you are to stand any chance whatsoever of a Visa.

Cheers everyone.
Havant got any badges or anything like that but definately going to get them. What badges would I need? And where would I go to apply to get them?
I'm going to do my second FA coaching certificate through my next 2 years at college so I don't know if that helps.

got a few mates who have done it and loved it... especially if it's something you want to do as a career

Yeah i'd love to do it as a career.... This is nothing too soon though but i've got to decide what i'd like to do pretty soon, I reckon this is what i'm after.

Challenger soccer are the best company to go with. I was going to go 2 summers ago but did not have the money at the time. Def look in to them, there the biggest coaching company in usa, over a thousand coaches

Yep, Mel davies is the person to speak to

Only prob is, the closest recruitment day is in uxbridge
