Does anybody know of a competitive league at all?
With just over a month to go before the season kicks off, we're lacking in every position, and with Tilson on holiday until next week, that leaves us with 3 weeks to sign, IMO, 7 or 8 players of a good enough to calibre to maintain a play-off pushing position.
With news on Bailey about as regular as Jimmy Corbett sightings, I can only presume that we're no closer to him signing a deal to stay here and, although he has 2 years remaining on his deal, he will be looking to move on. That leaves a midfield of Macca, Scannell, Moussa and Lokando. 3 of which completely unproven at this level.
A few weeks ago, I wasn't as worried, but with players leaving Southend left right and centre, and with no news on the horizon, it's now the time that unease sets in.
