So I Put It To The SZ Community...

Good moaning boys and girls,

I have a little dilema, kinda, that I'm gonna need the decent folk of SZ to help me with.

The weekend of the 27th, I shall be taking a rather attractive girl out for the night that used to have a thing for me a couple of years ago and has just split with the fella that prevented us getting together then.

I've been speaking to a couple of her mates on ideas on where to go other than the normal pub, cinema, McDonalds. I have found out she is a big fan of ice cream, like most girls and thought I'd involve this in the day. I was hoping to take her out for ice cream then out on the ****.

I'm stuck on where to take her. First of all I thought the pub because we could begin to get on the **** whilst eating ice cream but thats my fall back option.

I have asked her mates as well as my mates and team mates from football but we have the joint IQ of about 4, so was hoping you guys maybe able to help. We both come from around the dengie area, so was hoping to keep it there but if needs must then could spread out to Southend and the surronding areas.

So, where should I take her. I leave it to the SZ community....

wait till summer then invite her round. When an ice cream van goes past just shoot out and get her one. Saves all the expense of taking her out

Take her out to London for early evening and go to one of those ice cream parlours on Leicester Square. Then, telling her that you know London like the back of your hand, take her to 'a little place you know' and go to De Hemms (if you like a loud, vibrant pub) or Luigi's (if you want a classy little underground bar) or even Sevilla Mia (if you like Tapas and late drinking.)

If London is out of the question, then I'd suggest leaving the ice cream thing well alone. It's always a bit spooky to eat ice cream in the winter anyway.

Take her to quiet-ish pub in the middle of nowhere with a big fire and a wet dog. Focus on talking to her about the old times and try and keep your hands off her. She'll respect you for respecting her.

Then, on the second date, you can take her out to dinner, have a bottle of wine and bang her until her teeth rattle.

It's the Gentleman's way.

Although she may like ice cream... it'd be a little bit of an odd date (orginal though, I'll give you that!) especially at this time of year and when there's not really anywhere to go in the area.

I'd stick to the pub/bar idea, or even cinema then pub/bar so you'd have something to talk about if things go pear shaped (alhough hopefully for you they won't)

Invite her round to yours and some make ice cream (not a euphamism), make sure it's alcoholic, watch a funny movie in your bedroom, on your bed because the sofa isn't comfortable enough, talk for a bit, funny anecdotes, kiss her and you can fill in the rest, literally.

A nice meal under the Arches on the seafront, then a stroll up to Rossi's cafe a few yards away for a world famous Rossi ice cream and a romantic cuddle on the sand.
