Hello all,

Don't know if this is of any interest to anyone but I've just got off the phone to Sky who have just offered to cut my Sky Sports subscription from £18 to £3 over the summer as I said I was going to naff off and resign up to it for the start of the season.

Not bad, I wasn't THAT bothered about being able to watch the 20 20 and the pre season tournaments but for not even £1 a week why the hell not.

Anyway, if I've saved anyone any money you can come find me and buy me muchos pintage ;-)

Does make sense doesnt it that they shouldnt charge the full wack when they arent showing the same amount of content.

Yeah but how many people wouldn't bother scaling back their package though? Bet they're still creaming it in from the majority who just couldn't be bothered.

Heres the thread. Who did you speak to!? Seems like a soft touch lol!

I rang the contract retention lot to say I was cancelling for the summer and they threw a deal at me.

To be honest, the only thing they'll give you now as a new customer is a free HD box and if you get a reference from someone else you'll get M&S vouchers. Sky don't need to get people in with the clever little things that mobile companies do as they really don't have any major competition at all.

I am happy to pay the full whack.

Monster truck racing might not make it through the lean summer months without the support of people like me.
