Big support - for Sittingbourne at Southend United this weekend (Image: Ian Scammell)

By Chris Phillips. Chief sports reporter.

SITTINGBOURNE have been handed additional tickets for their trip to Southend United in the FA Trophy tomorrow.

The Kent club sold out their initial 815 tickets for the fifth round tie at Roots Hall.

But Blues have now given the visitors another section of seats in the West Stand.

A club spokesperson confirmed: "To date, we have sold 3,682 tickets, including an impressive 815 from Sittingbourne – fantastic support from their fans!

"Due to high demand, Sittingbourne have requested an increased ticket allocation.

"Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate additional Sittingbourne supporters in the North Bank, so we have had to consider alternatives.

"The only operationally viable solution is to open a small section of the West Stand (Block Q) for Sittingbourne’s ‘overflow’.

"This solution does not stack commercially due to the additional stewarding costs, but nevertheless, we have agreed to open up part of the West Stand to avoid Sittingbourne’s fans’ disappointment.

"We recognise that splitting Sittingbourne supporters isn’t perfect, but it was the best available option.

The spokesperson added limited tickets remain in the East Stand for Blues fans and added there is better availability in the North Bank and South Upper.

Given they've sold out on a couple of occasions - How likely is it that some Sittingbourne have bought tickets in the home areas?
