Aberdeen Shrimper

The Man who sold the world
On the back of a comment from another poster, I thought I would take a look at the old classic Sinclair C5, I then came across a page that offers "modifications"

This has got to be a urine extraction surely!!

Check out some of the modifications below.....

By far the best modification is the Air Cooled one.

Modifications

Turbo conversion - £POA

"The official Harper" 12-24v (24v off road) Turbo conversion, with air cooling. Includes extensive rewiring and modifications to achieve 24v operation.

In this mode the speed is increased from 14mph to 27-30mph, with truly fast acceleration and greatly increased power making most hills fast and easy.

Legally a C5 is restricted to 15mph on public roads, so, by switching off the second battery (24v) it is returned to original 12v operation for road use.

Neon tube - £80 fitted

Neon under car low light (full length, blue).

Be seen at night, looks as if C5 is hovering on an electric blue field.

Talking alarm - £POA

On - "System armed". Off - "System disarmed". Alarm - "Stand back, this car is alarmed." then a series of alarm sounds.

Dual zone microwave (as you walk up to the car the voice warning and alarm activates), can be set from 30ft to 1ft. Also features a two-stage shock sensor.

Twin air horns - £49 fitted

Let other road users hear you. Wired on a seperate circuit and relay.

Front light halogen bulb conversion - £9.99 (Post bracket A)

p-light.jpg

Convert your dull front light to a bright white halogen headlight, using the latest modified bulbs.

Air cool - £80.00 fitted

Forced air cooling (fitted as standard on 24v cars) helps solve the problem of overheating caused by long journeys, hot days or hilly terrain.

Link for you to drawl over those lovely neon pics!
