Simon Francis against Watford?

Sorry about this thread but I couldnt find anything about him. When he played against Watford how did he play? I was on work experience at boots and laces a few weeks ago for a week working with the physio department as i am interested in being one and I was with Francis quite a bit. Hes a top bloke and became my favourite player after it.
Did he play well?
Cheers, Ozzy

Edit: I was away on holiday when we played Watford

Yes he played very well. It was great to see him back and he's one who I feel will benefit this year from being up against less genuine quality.

It'll be a tough call between him and Gilbert going forward.

Like to see Francis given a run at centre back.

Yeah, I've been thinking about that. He's certainly tall enough. You'd just be worried about his concentration there. But then people said the same about England's best centre-back a few years ago too.

Francis should be in the team on Tuesday and I would have a preference to see him back in the starting line up. Probably for Gilbert. Put Richards in for Barrett or Clarke (prob the latter).

I thought Francis put in a cracking performance in the last home game and is definitely one of our best players at the moment. I'd like to see what he'd be like at centre back too, although I just can't see Tilly departing too much from the Clarke/Barrett partnership when they're fit.

Spot on- Francis played extremely well. I can't see Tilly moving from the pairing of Clarke and Barrett but I think he should. They are both whole-hearted players who give 100% in every game but for some reason their partnership doesn't seem to be working at the moment. I think we lack someone who can read and anticipate the game as Spinner and Eagle were both able to do and this puts extra pressure on us when teams maintain their attacks.

straight back into the 11 for me... if there is one think that you can't doubt about francis it is his fitness. 90mins on tuesday and he'll be ready to start at the weekend. so what if gilbert comes from a top side, francis was excellent against watford and adds some height and muscle to our team, as well as to our attacking play

I think it would be harsh to drop Gilbert though. He was the pick of the back line at Brighton.
