Signings!!

Right, where shall I begin...

As someone mentioned we have a couple of players that we are looking at one with international caps for under 19 or 21.. I forget exactly but a bit of detective work has led me to this.

Yesterday the players were at club kingswood and had a racketball competition. The owner of Kingswood played Tilly and the winner of both leagues that they were split into. He had to play against someone who was apparently a new signing or soon to be a new signing. He is apparently extremely physically fit and goes by the name of 'Bill'. This could obviously be Billy or William maybe. Anyone have any ideas who this could be and whether or not it is one of these international players.

Secondly, Afterwards in the showers, Spencer Prior yes Spencer Prior who was there training was talking to another player and he was saying lots of clubs had offered him contracts and he was asked by the player if he was going to sign up for us. He replied he would like to and it would be very convenient as his two boys go to school in Brentwood. Sorry if this has been covered but I thought he was training with Colchester and had signed for them? This was only Yesterday.

If the winner of either group could beat the owner then they got the day off of training that was the incentive. 'Bill' and Kevin Maher got through. Bill lost 15-3 and Maher 15-11. Tilly lost 15-13. Everyone back at training!

So whats going on with Prior, anyone know? He has been offered a contract apparently and this 'Bill' who is he?

Would be a good signing, look at a little light in Defence and certainly Prior would be do a good job at this level.

Unless 'Bill' is a very unimaginative nickname for 'Ben' (Surey), midfielder released by Palace.

The other player we are trialling [is that a word?] at the moment is Matt Judge, RoI U-19 capped striker released by Luton.

This isn't a wind up. God's honest. He has been offered a contract by the club according to him and is weighing up his options. As for 'Bill' I would like more ideas.

Looks like Spencer could be on his way then now that he is training with us.

'Bill' is quite obviously a codeword for Zinedine Zidane.

Obviously Tilson wants to keep the whole thing veiled in a shroud of secrecy until he has passed his medical and agreed terms.

I also heard Roy Race and Nick Jarvis were training with the blues yesterday.

Can anyone confirm?

You're confused? So am I. But then the PFA still has Mel Capleton as a Southend player.

But why change Barrett's club details but not his availability? Odd. One for Scriv, I think.
