Question Shrimperzone Player Sponsorship

MK Shrimper

Striker
Is the Zone sponsoring a player this year? I'd quite happy to put my hand in my pocket for a few quid.

I was thinking that our top scorer could be a good candidate?

This only occurred to me on Saturday as I was leafing through the programme and noticed that the club aren't offering player sponsorship yet. I assume this was because they couldn't really market "Sponsor our number 9! Whoever he is!"

Once things settle down and we've got a full squad, I am sure the club will put some feelers out and I'll then put a thread up on here asking people if they are interested. With the dramatic rise in members we have had recently, I'd be hopeful of getting (say) 40 people in at £10 a share.

With the way the wages went last season, being offered to sponsor a player seems a bit like a unicef appeal!

£3 buys enough rice to feed your player for a month.

£20 puts a roof over their head for a week.

Your money really can make a difference!

Don't forget those mosquito nets!

Didn't it used to be an evening do?
Sounds like you now get a packed lunch at Boots and Laces!

I'd be in still :)

Do we still owe the Cliffs Pavilion for a previous event there ? Might be the reason "lunch whilst wearing a hard hat" might be the event of the year at the training ground.

RM "All debts are paid. Well except maybe to Tilly, and the people that provide the tickets, and the beer, and the Cliffs....!"

Howdy all,

Just seen the list and players are being snapped up quite fast. Still available around an hour ago was Sean Clohessy, Peter Gilbert, Josh Simpson (6 month loan), Graham Coughlan, Sofiene Zaaboub, Ryan Hall, Adam Bouzid, Matt Phillips, Luke Prosser, Louie Soares, Harry Crawford, Chris Barker (1 month loan) and Rhys Evans.

I'm in if this goes ahead!

Interesting; where did you see this list? If I can get hold of someone at the club then I'll start putting the wheels in motion.
