ShrimperZone FC "Open" Training

The General

The Mouse (*)
For the next 2 Sundays (19th & 26th) ShrimperZone FC will be training at Victory Sports Ground, Southend, from 10am. The club currently has 3 mens teams in the Southend Sceptre League and for the first season ever, a SZFC Ladies side will be entering the Essex Womans League, and they will also be training over at Victory. The club mainly consists of Southend United supporters - so it should be ideal for everyone on here.

Contact myself or Emu for more details!

Cheers

Kev

NB: Southend United are also soon to have an open training session in a bid to sign some players... details to follow!

If I was guaranteed to be in Southend for the next 9/10 months, then I'd definitely come along...

I'd imagine that even those who don't know what their commitments are for the whole of the season can still come along to the open trainings, even if it's just to get some fitness and play some football and see how things go....

No, but you could be a sub for the Ladies...:finger:

C'mon Creaky, seriously man, i get very insecure at my age about any derogotory remarks about my ability to play the beautiful game.
..(still can't believe the 1st team gaffer ain't phoned me up yet after taking the pish outta that lot on astroturf)

I'm getting on, but i reckon i could cut it with the kids. I'm away though so can't make the training seshes.
What a way to see out my career though! I'd farping laaaave it.

Mate, i could get a team up for this season that would include Tilson!
I'd just sign up a couple of his TAG mates and tell 'im they're gonna fold.
Rusty in goal, me and you ...i can see it now.

Anyone got that Collymore's number?

Actually, you say that about Vets, i got a freindly up once for my team that played in the top div of the Sceptre.
The team we played were called Lee Chapel North. The same lads that had won the FA Sunday cup! My boys ran around like headless chickens trying to get the ball off these old boys for 90mins.

decent side them boys , think a few of them have jumped ship to play for Vichouse sports who smashed their vets league winning every game and won the cup i believe , all ex ESL and had many a battle against them , could all handle themselves as well which helps.

Yeah, i knew about them alright when i phoned them up for the game.

This team i managed at the time were such a bunch of ****-sure young gits and they thought they were the bees knees. I think my lads enjoyed the out of season lesson ;)
