Hello from Dublin,
Im over to Southend on 28th of Jan for the game vs swindon but obviously its off.As ill still be making the trip could anyone let me know the best bar to watch the FA Cup game between Liverpool and united.

go to leigh on sea - the Grand is a good pub as are those down in old leigh (cockle sheds) - at the risk of receiving death threats I just don't rate southend as a night out.

Not yet unfortunately(although there are plans to turn it into a boutique hotel apparently).I suspect if that comes off the chances of there being a good atmosphere there to watch footy games won't be that great.
