Shrimpers Seek New Coach For Under-10s

Southend United are on the lookout for a new Under-10s coach.

Candidates must be available to coach the squad on Monday and Thursday evenings, Saturday mornings and manage the team on Sunday morning for their weekly game.

They must also hold a minimum of a UEFA B licence coaching award (Level 3), have previous experience of working in or around a Centre Of Excellence or Academy, previous expenience of working with players of the age, be open mined and prepared to work as part of other youth coaching team.

The position peovides a competitive part-time salary and the opportunity to tour Europe with various age groups.

Its pretty much the law now.

Because the UEFA liecences have to have police checks done with them for obvious reasons. This is also only the first UEFA liecence you can get so it isnt exactly over the top. Good job if you want to get into coaching.

police checks? you mean like a CRB check or more than that? i agree i dont its over the top. isnt it nice to see that southend demand this calibre of coach even though as said the players are only under 10?

I believe this is the standard needed to become academy status...Just because they will be under 10's manager doesnt mean to say that they will not coach other age groups either ! :sherlock:
