SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher says Harry Taylor is worth his weight in gold for the Shrimpers.
Taylor will make his 100th appearance for the club if he features against AFC Fylde at Roots Hall tomorrow.
And Maher remains delighted with the defender's consistent form.
"Managers love players who are so consistent, who train properly every day and are low maintenance with high output," said Maher.
"Harry is exactly that and he's a top professional.
"His consistency has been incredible since he's been here, even when he was in midfield.
"He's understated but a real valuable member to the team.
"The players who play with him and the managers who have worked with him will all tell you the same thing, players like that are worth their weight in gold."
Taylor signed for the Shrimpers from Barnet in the summer of 2022.
