The Business
Right - Help me settle this office dispute.

I have just come off the phone to one of the companies that we put business through. Now I wont name them but lets jsut say its not the Bank of England,Ireland or Wales.

The person that I wanted was not there so I left a message. I had a bit of banter with the girl on the other end as you do to pass the day.

At the end of the conversation she said to me - Thank mate & Bye mate.

Now for my mind this is totally unacceptable. I dont think woman should ever call blokes mate. Its for my mind a male to male greeting.

Ben agrees but the girls in the office dont?

C'mon Dave, it's been a fairly slow week & we all need cheering up after the display at Forest. Surely there's a quality poll you've been saving up for a rainy day and can do better than this? :p

My son works for RBS as does his g/f.....the way they speak in general conversation to me defines belief.... ( alright Papa any cash for the lower classes) But they both are up the top this week in there fields of telephone manner and converting cash balances from other cards to theres.......

*Sigh*

You're alive!!!! Where've you been all week? :p

Man-Flu takes a week to get over now does it?

I am not even over it now Rich ...I think it was alot more serious than that , hence the doctor coming out twice and my son going frantic...It was more a chest infection combined with a heavy cold/flu if you need to know.

**** me why do I have to explain why I have felt like death all week.

You're letting him off the hook far too easily there, Rich... ;)
