Shirt Signing

Hey all, I am looking to get a shirt signing for my Nephew for Christmas, and was wondering the best way to go about it? Anyone had any good ways? Carpark after the game for example?

If you hang around at the end of the home games some players often come out to warm down. It may be worth a go. I got barny and macca to sign a programme for me a few weeks ago !

I tried that against MK Dons, and some players did come out, but as they did I got chucked out rather poor from the stewards in my opinion!

If you have a chance to get down to the training ground at some point, that'd be your best bet. I've taken a couple of shirts down there in the last couple of years and all the players are really friendly and more than happy to do it.

Work seriously gets in the way of that one I am afraid!

Just sit down with a shirt, a pen and a 24-crate of lager. Sign the shirt a different way after a can of lager... The little oik won't know the difference, you'll get a different signature each time and, by the 24th can, you can blame the dodgy signature and vomit stain on McCormack.

Sorted.

Or you could approach the Club direct, take the shirt in to reception and leave it with them to be signed.

Give it to me mate and I will get it signed by the whole team for you if not tonight Saturday

Tried this back in May when I wanted a shirt signed for my brother but they wouldn't do this for me. They were actually quite unhelpful to be honest, I was more than willing to pay a bit more to get this done but all they could offer me was a signed squad postcard from at least one of the players.

I think it could be a really good thing for the club to start selling even if they charged £75 or something for it I have no doubt they would get a lot of sales!

Best idea would be to wait in the carpark before the match, almost all the players signed the shirt when I went down. Would aim to get there a good couple of hours before though if you want to get everyone's signature.

In actual fact, if you ask Ricey nicely I think he has the phone numbers, addresses and, more importantly, facebook's of the current squad. He usually rotates which bin he rummages through for clues as to who we're signing next or the kind of banter that flies around the training ground.

I'm not advocating knocking on our players doors in the early hours of the morning demanding an autograph, but it's worth a shot.

Just throwing ideas out there.....

Why not get a proffesional contract with the club. With a thread bare squad like we currently have it cant be that hard to get a month to month deal. th a lively personailty like yoursit wont take long to become chummy with some of the players and bit by bit you can get the shirt signed.

Hope this helps George - I await your green...... x

Apparently I need to spread it around first my friend!
