Shirt Printing

HUTTON

Guest
Are the club shop printing numbers yet or are we still waiting to see what numbers we are going to be using?

I asked on Saturday...apprently they arne't doing any printing for the next two weeks as the numbering style is changing again.

Why do they decide this after some shirts have been printed? It's not that hard to work out it might be best to do it before.

So we're changing it after all the players have had theirs done? Bit odd and daft.

My eldest wants

As a parent do i see the funny side or do i stamp my foot down and say now. Will the shrimperzone public decide.

See the funny side.

That took a minute to get, that's quality.

I want to get a number printed - cos I want to feel special.

I think i'll let him get it done, he is 16 now so i suppose he's old enough. I might get it done myself actually.

I heard they were changing it too....

Scriv, or anyone listening from the club....please can we get the curved lettering that most other clubs have? It looks SO much better!

Ah, RS, your old argument about how they line up the names at the top of the shirt, much like my one about the back sponsor should be BELOW the numbers like other teams do it. Never gets thought about or listened to though!

Oh well....we can but try!
Just got a new away shirt for my birthday last weekend....might take it to the Brighton club shop at the weekend and see if they will print it for me

I asked in the shop yesterday, at the moment the club are worried enough about us getting enough in to print the players shirts for sat as we are playing in red. Two weeks at least for us mere mortals

How do you know that? Just because you suggested it but it didn't happen doesn't mean it wasn't noted or thought about because of you or independently of your posts.

What if they do it and somebody says they prefer it the other way? Should they just change it again because somebody else said so?

OK fair enough. Sorry Mark, maybe my original wording was a bit strong.

However, 2 years ago when the BigWeekends sponsor was announced I mentioned I hoped we would have it on the shirts underneath the numbers and Scriv I think it was (if not one of the other club employees who post or posted on here) were fairly cutting in their reasons as to why it was going to go on the shirts we it did.

Personally, I feel any back sponsor logo looks far too cluttered at the top of the shirt as it clashes with the name, especially if you have a player with a name as long as Campbell-Ryce. Maybe, some of the bigger outfits agree with me, e.g. Watford, Leeds, Forest, West Brom who tend to put the back sponsor under the numbers!

having haart under the number would just look crap - especially if you dont want printing on the shirt. If it was a more fancy logo maybe, but underneath is just pointless.

That's exactly my point of view about where it is now though!
Maybe back-sponsors weren't such a good idea, still at least they've not relaxed the rules like the French FA where players shirts make teams look like walking billboards (even more than cycling teams do!)

I've heard that's why we're willing to sell him. Apparantly name is just not good for the new style coming in.

;)
