Sheffield United to sue Wet Spam

MK Shrimper

Wet Spam could be forced to pay Sheffield United £30M in compensation over the dodgy Carlos Tevez affair when he helped the cheating scummers stay up on the last day of the season.

BBC story.

Great news although as I said at the time, it's a shame the PL & the FA didn't grow a set of bolleaux and relegate the Spammers.

Wonder if Bryan Robson can also sue West Ham on the premise that as Sheff Utd subsequently struggled in the CCC and he lost his job, that might not have happened if they would have remained in the Premier League?

Far too late in the day, this should have been dealt with at the time, as Rich says by people with the guts to do it.

forget the money side of things they should be pushing for west spam to be relegated. hopefully down to the conference or league 2 which i feel would be suitable punishment.

This will run for a while yet as the Spammers are bound to appeal this verdict. As has been pointed out earlier if they had been deducted points at the time then this would not be happening some 16 months on.

It was said on the radio that they can't appeal it and they just have to pay up.

They can't appeal in the same way that Leeds couldn't appeal last season.

Out of interest, can anyone tell me exactly what West Ham did so wrong that Liverpool and Manchester United (who are loaning Mascherano & Tevez from a third party company) have been doing so right ever since?

They are not co ckney W*nkers ???

So we're saying that the only thing that they did wrong was to lie and pretend that they'd done nothing wrong? When, in fact, they had done.... nothing wrong.

Sticking up for West Ham - are you on crack?

Personally I think its great news. I dont know the ins and outs of the loan thing with Liverpool and Man United but Id assume after all the controversy around the two players previously, that it was all done in the proper manner this time around.

The facts that remain are that Tevez almost single handedly kept West Ham up (saw some interesting stats in the Sun this morning showing his assists, shots on goal, and goals etc which strongly assist this point). So to do that with a player who wasn't legit isn't fair on the relegated team.

However, i must agree with some on here, the FA is a complete shambles and the whole respect campaign is laughable what with recent events on Sunday, not to mention the "ghost" goal for Reading. So nothing will surprise me.
