Question Shares currently held at SUFC

Tinks

Worlds Greatest Cook.⭐⭐🦐
Whilst lying in bed last night a thought occurred to me.
As both my husband and I currently hold shares at the club (albeit small) along with many other supporters I would imagine what will happen to those shares when the club is transferred over?

I understand that when the move to FF is completed SUFC will trade under a different name and they have registered this name as a new buisness.

Perhaps some of you guys with more savvy in this subject can shed some light. Are the shares automatically transferred over or do they remain where they are now or what?

i also have shares in the club but i think they are worth nothing to the fans that have these as these are more of a interest in the club as in to hand over hard cash to help raise money for the club, dont think they are actually worth anything and are not sellable at any stage, might be wrong tho.

I have no intention in getting shot of them and I realise there value is zero, just wondered what will happen to exisiting shares when the club operates under a new buisness name

Not fully conversant with the legalities but there is minority protection provisions within the Companies Act - I'm sure one of our solicitors on here can explain far better than I ever could.

In any event, I would have thought that it was the stadium holding company being transferred (i.e. Roots Hall Ltd, or potentially SEL), not SUFC Ltd. Transfer of SUFC Ltd would require insolvency advice, and most likely a ten point deduction, given the insolvent position of the company and the likely scenario of debts being called in at transfer. Again, no expert on these things, so take it with a pinch of salt

SUFC is nothing to do with the stadium, I would anticipate it would be Roots hall ltd which will transfer the ownership of the stadium
