seyfo soley

Gambia captain[/B].

Isn't that what the northern audience shout at Jim Bowen during Bullseye recordings, if the contestants have just won a life size Kevin Maher blow-up doll from Bully's prize board?

Can't be too much of a bad player if Preston wanted to keep him on, seems he turned them down and not the other way round

Sorry if been mentioned but on trial with us. Gambia captain.

Anyone see him in action?

Having seen him twice now, I am not sure about him. He is certainly big, wins his fair share of high balls and can put a tackle in. Other times he appears to be walking or stationary when I feel he should be running or at least on his toes. Doesn't recover well and caught out of position a couple of times. Might just be a bit rusty and would be wrong to write him off on the strength of one and a bit reserve appearances.

I thought he was OK when he played against Col U, but yesterday he was pretty poor. He did manage a couple of decent challenges, but he was very slow (both in terms of running and turning) and his distribution was shocking. On the plus side, Zoltan looked OK!

Just as an aside, Sam Higgins played the last few minutes for the reserves yesterday - he's a second-year forward that has been released by Millwall, and is on trial until the end of the season. He's played a few games for the Under-18s, and looks like he's got a bit of talent (which you would expect coming from an Academy set-up). It'll be interesting to see how he develops over the next couple of months.

Those actually exist?!?! - Take it you didn't get that down JJB(!)
My nan has just come from The Gambia again, and has brought a red Gambia shirt. If I'm really bored tonight I may even take a photo for you.

Unfortunately, it has J. Ceesay on the back, not S. Soley. I'll specifically request a Soley one should he sign for us.
