how many goals do we leak from set peices ! is this brushys fault as he takes charge of defence in training doesnt he ? correct me if im wrong

it just frustrates me that we leak goals that we shouldnt be ! lots of the goals we have had scored against us this season have come from set pieces !

not sure you can blame the coach. If he gets his tactics right and the defence are up against players who are better than them, its hard to stop the forwards scoring. Although the other week against Cheltenham i think, they scored from a free kick routine where we were just not ready which is purely down to the players

what i notice every single game is that when we concede a corner, everyone slowly walks back into their defending posistions without even keeping an eye out for a short corner or it to be taken quickly. this has happened loads of times this season i.e cheltenham and i can think of countless times last season and it cost us big time.

Not as many as you might think.

In the last 9 games we have conceded 2 from set pieces, one against Huddersfield and the other Cheltenham.

We didnt concede one against Carlisle, Forest, Northampton, Luton, Oxford Walsall or Crewe.....

i get more frustrated by how many set pieces we waste. Our corners don't seemed planned and confuse our players more than the oppo's and when we get free kicks anyone of 5 players steps up to take it and they then generally go out for goal kicks.

Saying that i thought Mahers free kick for Macca's goal was superb!

Exactly, we are at a disadvantage attacking and defending free kicks as we don't have enough tall players in our team. Richards' inclusion in the team would help remedy this problem!

Can you call throws set pieces? Other teams always seem to move and find space from their throws, we don't have any imagination. As for teams that take quick throws or use multi-ball - we are always taken by surprise. Just because we plod about looking for the obvious down the line throw, we expect other teams to take just as long.
