September Fixtures 2024

Rattus Norvegicus

Dullard ①
Here we are - seven games into the season & time to look at the table & the team.

2 wins (at home), 4 draws & one loss - 13th position - I make that a mid-table position for an average start (that's not a criticism but a description).

After an entertaining win on Tuesday night, we now have games coming thick & fast.

Tues 10th - Eastleigh [2nd] (home) - 3 points
Sat 14th - Sutton [17th] (home)
Tues 17th - Flyde [22nd] (away)
Sat 21st - Solihill Moors [12th] (away)
Tues 24th - Wealdstone [21st] (away)
Sat 28th - Mighty Gateshead [top & unbeaten] (home)

As for the team - well, still building & getting going perhaps?

We have scored 9 goals - not enough for a tilt at the play-offs or promotion at the moment.

And given the turmoil that we have all been through I am quite pleased with where we are - although views from Shrimperzone range from "we are lucky to have a club & playing at all" at one end of the spectrum through to "we should be beating all these tin-pot clubs" at the other end.

We have scored 6 goals (less than 1 per game) - not enough for a tilt at the play-offs or promotion at the moment.

Don’t know how you arrived at 6 goals. We have scored 9 so far in our 7 league games.
