Who deal with cat's up trees! Yet when a aircraft crashes and they get called in to help out with the man power they are **** scared. Temperatures that exceed your normally ponsy house fire. Avgas and Jet A1 are extremley dangerous substances.

At Southend Airport?? Matt, you must be delusional!! The worst thing you have to deal with is Martin Day's hair and being first to the Airport cafe :)
 
I think that Fire fighters do an amazing job and should be paid far more, in fact that goes for all the emergency services....BUT, and here is the controversial bit.

I don't think that they should be allowed to strike (no pun intended)
 
Sheesh, those Aussies are getting soft, must be because the camera was there. 20 second blast from a hose would have got the little blighter down no probs and no waste of expensive reaching gear!
