The club needs to sell as many as possible to as many as possible e.g. 1,000 @ £400 brings more revenue that e.g. 500 @ £600 or 5,000 @ £60. So - what price do you think would bring maximum income? (We will assume an adult in the East stand).

Id say that the price they are now is the right price an they must have done some sort of calculation to do so.

We tried dropping them before and it had no effect on attendances.

Even if you dropped them to £100 you wouldnt get four times as many turn up (ignoring the fact we dont have enough seats). The floaters and the people who turn up for the game for a fiver are often not the types to want to go regularly even if the season tickets were much cheaper.

Pricing them too low may have the opposite effect! Some might think "It's only £5 a game. It's cold and rainy - I'll only lose a fiver if I don't go" whereas if it worked out £18 a game, they might think "I've paid for it - so I'll go irrespective".

Yes they do in the family enclosure, and it is indeed 700 quid all in for 2 adults and two kids.

We we are talking about the East, the enclosure in the West Imo offers a terrible view for the North end of the pitch especially with the ladder blocking it.

You cant apply the same thing to the East as it wouldnt work.

If it were the same pricing I could go in there and buy 4 tickets for the same price as 2 and never bother taking the kids and have two seats to myself.

They do provide an option for families, but it does have to be in the family enclosure.

The view is no where as good as the East, where Id prefer to go myself, but its not bad, and the second half is very good.

I know the club can never please everyone but surely if the East was sold out every game by allowing family pricing incentives then once/if sold out then use a cheaper option for the West.

Yes but it wouldnt be sold out, you would get people buying them and not using them, I know I would.

If people want cheaper tickets you have to settle for the lesser seats unfortunately, it wouldnt be fair for me to be sitting in a seat paying £15 next to a non family man paying £19. (or if you like, me sitting there with two seats for myself that cost me £9.50 each, one of which to put my handbag on).

You couldnt have a situation where buying two seats in the East stand cost the same as buying one seat.

The club offer a good deal for families, but not at the expense of full paying customers.
