How many have actually used this offer as at the moment we have only sold 4,550 home tickets.
The problem is with this offer if you are in a popular part of the ground you can't actually get the seat next to you, so you would have to move to another part of the ground or just make your £10 ticket holder sit on there own somewhere!
Club should just have made it £10 for adults without the season ticket holder restriction.

This way it makes those of us who have STHs feel valued.

I'm all for the club trying to improve gates. I also used the offer to get two free tickets for friends for the millwall match.

We are targeting 8 through the gate and are averaging over 7k at the moment. Long may it continue.

The only issue with this is that you may struggle to get your mate a ticket anywhere near where you sit. I have just looked to buy a ticket for a friend of mine, but he'd have to sit two rows in front of me.

Good effort by the club nonetheless.

So did you actually buy an extra £10 ticket?
It might sound like a good offer and it's making season ticket holders 'valued'. But judging by ticket sales so far it doesn't look like many are taking the offer up.

I don't actually know any season ticket holders, or any Southend fans personally for that matter. They all faded away after relegation... But if anyone wants to buy a ticket for me, I'll take up the offer.

I was under the impression 3 if you renewed early if not its 2

This is indeed correct . As a STH i took a couple of extra mates with me for each of the last 2 matches and it was really excellent by the club -- they will try to find seats nearest yours so the earlier you call the better , but the tickets were completely free !

So extra revenue gained by the club on a few drinks + programs & all thoroughly enjoyed the games so will more than likely visit again ( paying full price ! )

It was only thanks to Shrimperzone that i found about this --- i think the club should market this much more when it comes round to buying next seasons ticket early again......

Is this offer available for on the day purchases?

It would be easier for me to meet my mate at the turnstiles.

Wording reads as below - doesn't explicitly state that you have to buy before the day?;

Why not take up this special offer...
We are offering season card holders the option of bringing a friend to the Rochdale game for £10.

The game takes place on Saturday 14th January as Blues continue their push up the League One table.

If you are a season card holder, simply contact the Ticket Office in person or by phone (0844 77 00 77) to take up the
offer.

^ no, but by the fact you have to contact the ticket office, would suggest to me it needs to be done before the day. I'll mention it to see if they will clarify.
