Season Card deadline extended

Up the Shrimpers

Life President
Dear Blues supporter,

I am writing to inform you that due to overwhelming demand on the final day of purchasing, a decision has been made to extend the Season Card deadline by one week.

Supporters who are yet to renew their Season Card, or those who wish to purchase a new one, can do so at the Early Bird discount rate until 1pm on Saturday, May 3.

By taking a gamble on a Season Card today you could secure it at League One prices for the potential of Championship football, saving £70 on the price of an Adult ticket.

This means that the Season Card swap seat period will begin from Monday, May 5 and this has also been extended to finish on Tuesday, May 27.

So don't delay, book today and make sure you are in your seat for another exciting season.
For further details, prices and an application form click here.

If you have any questions or queries then please feel free to contact me, or alternatively visit the website www.southendunited.co.uk.

Thank you for your continued support, it is really appreciated.

I know quite a few people were going to try and move seats this week, you will have to wait until next week now.

So i've been skint all month, when I could have waited until after payday. Cheers. :madman:

****ing farce thanks SUFC! I shall be registering my disgust at the next trust committee meeting!

overwhelming demand? i renewed mine on Friday and got through to someone after all of 20 seconds on hold...:nope:

I can see the frustration for the people that bust a gut to pay for theirs before the deadline (I'm paying for mine in installments) however if it encourages more people to buy season cards then it's all good.

I think it's the reason the club have given... what they are telling us is that there was such a rush on Saturday that they did not get time to process all the applications?

Maybe the true reason is that renewall figures have been slightly disappointing and that by extending the deadline this may help increase the figures. By the way this happens every season!!!

I wonder if the family stand figures are down due to the 20% price increase?

I got mine done last Tuesday and was told loads of people had not renewed in their yet so it looks as though it certainly will be down in that section

Not suprised, a 20% price increase can only lead to some people not renewing even with the £40 team card offer.

The club targeted the family fans for a high price increase just at the wrong time higher mortgages, higher fuel, higher food prices and so on.

Still if we get to the Championship then it will pay off because they will sell more Season Cards at the new higher price in all areas.

Having said all that, I still think £380 for an adult & child is good value even though the view and facilities are rubbish and if it's Championship football then that will make it even better.

After being struck down last week with the bubonic plague and prior to that defending the earth against alien attack, this extension has been greatly appreciated in this tiny corner of SZ.com.

Thank you SUFC as you have saved me £70.

I can see why some people are going to be a little peeved, but doesn't this show at least some common sense on the club's part!?
