Afternoon Scriv :)

Now that the stadium is in the bag (well, the bits that can be sorted this month anyway), I'm guessing - and hoping - that Tilly and Ron are now 100% trying to get in a couple of players. Could we possibly have a Tilly interview, or Ron, on the OS to give us a bit of an update?

You know the sort of thing: "well, its very hard but now we've got the stadium thats another string to our bow - we've currently got offers in for 3 players, a striker and two defenders, which we think are very fair. We feel that there is a very good chance with at least one of these - we're close to an agreement and fingers crossed something could be sorted by Monday".

And: "we can confirm that we havent approached Teddy Sheringham, Ray Parlour, Stanley Matthews or Bernard Matthews..."

wonder if talking to transfer targets took the back seat, as now we can sell the ground as a defo (give or take a few things) to target players !!!! It is easier to sell a club going forward when you can show them a blueprint of the future ......

Well it certainly isn't going to be rumoured (although nothing ever was that concrete) transfer target Steve Kabba, just signed for Watford for £500k....

The Paul Hayes thing seems to have gone very quiet indeed too...

And have we given up on O'Donovan and McDonald? I know they were expensive but surely we're more appealing than Cork City and surely we can offer enough for one of their players?

McDonald strongly rumoured to be a transfer target for Rangers.
We can't compete with their wages.
