He was there last year for a couple of months but went back to Gretna in the summer.

Pretty much. He had a few chances to move to the bigger Scottish clubs but stayed at Gretna because he didn't want/need to turn Professional at the time. He tried his arm down at Northampton after Christmas last year but it didn't seem to really work out for him. Only scored a couple.
