I asked the question at work if food is healthier for you if its hot or cold?

My collegue says it wont make a difference?

Is he right??

For example, if i had just cooked a chicken, and ate it hot, is that healthier or less healthy than if i let it cool down, stick it in the fridge, and have it the next day? or no difference?

If its left for any length of time the likelihood of bacterial build up will be greater, re-heating is also a problem
 
Nutritionally i would expect it to be just the same whether you eat it hot or cold...as long as you dont leave it so long that it starts to grow mould - that'll add a calorie or two!

Just an aside, but apparently drinking cold water is better for you than hot water, and helps burn calories too.
 
Hot food is definitely more dangerous to your health which is why most people use a chip basket in their deep fat fryer rather than fishing items out with their hands.
 
I don't think it's any less nutritional as such, but for instance in vegetables the most nutritious part of the beg is just beneath the skin, which is often pealed or cut away in preparation.
