School/College

I'm aware that the School and College's are starting up again this week, oh, the joy.

I'm going into SEEVIC today, (Matty Harrold lovers

) for a couple of hours. Anyone else going in for their first day at College or just changing years at school?

Or am I the only College guy around these parts...

After Freshers week (s) (Gloucestershire Uni usually have 2 weeks of it), it'll be fine. My mate is starting up at Manchester Uni in 3 weeks and is really nervous about going.

It'll be the best 3 years of your life

Freshers at Gloucester is the 18th-25th. I've got to get down there for the 17th to have an induction and meet my tutor etc. Looking forward to it but also a bit nervous at the same time.

Freshers Week at Brighton starts on the 25th, Have to be down there on the 23rd to Move in to Halls. Means i miss the Cardiff game, but hopefully nothings happening on the Sunday so i can watch it.

They're paying you to go to college nowadays then? Jeeze.... But saying that, Chalvedon Sixth Form actually paid us £30 per year to go and study A Levels. Sounds good, but it was £30 in WHSmith vouchers!

Back in 2002, SEEC wanted me to pay them £750 a year to do 5 A Levels. I told them where to shove it. At Basildon, we never got paid, we had to pay them £30 per year for exam fees.

Yep its a new scheme for households earning under 30,000 a year.

earning under 20,000 = £30 a week
earning under 25,000 = £20 a week
earning under 30,000 = £10 a week

yeah my liver couldnt' have hacked that
did stay for my fourth year but was doing my teacher training which curtailed my drinking a little

hmmm. nope, uni still wins. you would have to pay me much more to go to a sixth form college!

Not to mention an alcoholic's place to pretend he doesn't have a problem, a place where satyromaniacs and nymphomaniacs can pretend that thier sexual activity is about normal and somewhere where people with no need to know words like satyriasis can learn them whilst ignoring useful and valuable teaching.
