According to my Col U colleagues both Sammy the Shrimp and Elvis J Eel were at Layer Road last Saturday for their "family fun day".

Surely this is a sackable offence!!

No. This should be welcomed with open arms.

Elvis & Sammy appeal to the younger audience. Exactly the right age to convert them to the mighty shrimpers before they set foot in Cowshed Road and start on the long slippery slope to inbreeding.

Imagine how we'd feel if the tables were turned - it's their problem, not ours.

also according to BBC Essex they both beat the inbred mascot at half time in a race

I'm sure they mentioned it on BBC essex at the weekend - including the info that Sammy and Elvis beat the Col Ewe mascot in a race so it sounds as if they did us proud!!

I think this is better news than us equaling an 81 year record. Imagine how it would hurt us to see the ibred's mascot at Southend.

And yet we sent both of ours up there.

As a matter of interest, with their mascot and 2 of ours, could this be the first time the mascots outnumbered the total home support?
