Same team for Cardiff....

Quality performance today, one of the best of the season. Not particularly great football, but the commitment was incredible. Nicky and Dudfield were quality and should definately play next week as they totally deserve it.

Shame Fredy has gone off the boil totally in the last few weeks, but did well to hold his nerve and tuck away a nice pen.

Great atmosphere from everyone and I hope we can take that to Cardiff.

COME ON YOU BLUES!

If Nicky doesn't start at left wing next week it will be a huge injustice.

He put in more tackles in 20 minutes then Gower has all season.

He was a star.

Dont know about Dudfield though, Gray or Tes doesnt seem like that much of an alternative.

Wasn't overly impressed with Graty when he came on, he seemed to be reserving his pace as if he still had another hour to play.

we need a fully fit gower and gray from the start.nicky showed a lot of effort and got the penalty as well.looked a bit rusty at times but gives us a better balance on the left.dudfield didn't do a lot but got stuck in.back four very sound +maher-bentley-petts ok but ball in the final third need to improve and freddy is looking really tired. best performance from the home supporters, well done lads

Can I play Devils Advocate for one second?
Yes, Flavs probably produced the save of the season to send us back to Cardiff for an unprecidented 3rd times in competitive fixtures in 2 seasons, but.....

Against the set-piece demons of the Lincoln Towers, who's modus operandum is to "make Soccer look like a very bad College Football game", would we not be better to have a 6' + GK in between the sticks???

As I say, I'm playing Devil's Advocate so don't want to express my opinion right here, right now!

I have to agree with glasgowsufc! Flahavan has proved to be a more than capable understudy for Bart Griemink and good on him. But I can't help but feel a little nervous for the lad against the giants of Lincoln. However I don't think Tilson will drop him.

WS

Because of Lincoln Towers. Let's face it : Flahavan is not the tallest of keepers nor foes does he instill much confidence when coming for crosses, especially against the tall globetrotter team of Lincoln. He won't drop him but you can't blame us for being a tad nervous ...

their manager said that yesterday was the first time they scored from a set piece! he said he has got some big lumps but they never score many from corners! you are never happy, aren't you?

Nope.

Gary Johnson made a good point yesterday saying the pitch at Cardiff will favour us with it being so big. Lincoln prefer a smaller playing surface as they are more direct. With their "giants" it should enable us to pass it round them with more ease

i wouldnt be so sure about it! they play 3 upfront that could stretch us on a big pitch

How can anybody, at thi stage of the season, say that Darryl is an understudy to Bart Gremink?
Our season only changed when Darryl came back into the side, and quite truthfully, having watched the seasons review at the SUSCT event, not only did Bart look like a liability but had Darryl let in some of the goals that Bart did everyone would have been blaming his height anyway, so really he's in a no win situation with many. Atkins said he's the best shot stopper in the division and I really believe he gives the defense far more confidence with his ability. Thanks Darryl for a great season, and heres hoping you sign that contract !
