If Port Vale fail to beat Walsall tonight then Bury are safe. Which would you rather play? A team with nothing to play for who are in League One next season regardless of result or a team fighting to keep their place in Legaue One?

A team that needs a win to stay up. They'll go for it and leave gaps at the back.

Then again if they're thinking of their 2 weeks in Magaluf then their minds will be elsewhere!

Shrewsbury needed a win to stay safe and they battled us off the park (and were very tight at the back). Seeing as we're carrying knocks and injuries I'd rather play a team where their minds are already on holiday. If we can play the game at our tempo and on our terms then I think we'll have too much for them.

I think in reality though it doesn't really make much of a difference for SUFC, we'll still make lives difficult for ourselves I'm sure.

Of course we will. This is SUFC nothing is ever straightforward.

I'd rather play a safe Bury as I don't think our form or quality is there at the moment. Plus the squad's fight has been questioned for a little while now.

A safe team for sure ..... like MK Dons. Oh !

Relegation threatened....they will be nervous just like us.
Safe..they will be relaxed and playing for fun.

Top one please.

The problem with a safe team is they could play with freedom and confidence, knowing they have nothing to lose. They would also be buoyed by the fact that they could derail a promotion push, alas I bring you Morcambe. We all know how that ended up! You just know that a Danny Mayor or Vaughan could turn up and hurt us, the latter having done it more than once to teams this season.

Chesterfield needed to win, left gaps and were over aggressive
MK dons were relaxed and played stress free .

I would rather have Bury going for it and being nervous.

Rather than a few Players fighting for a contract with the rest of the team relaxed.

Apart from Sharp at Sheffield Utd , he is way ahead of anyone in the goalscoring charts for L1............

Look at it this way. If Bury are safe then:

(a) Will they really want to help a side like MILLWALL into the play-offs?

and (even more so probably)....

(b) Will they want to help Rochdale into the play-offs (bearing in mind Rochdale are their local rivals!)?

If Bury are safe after tonight then it wouldn't shock me at all to see us win comfortably on Sunday. But then again I think Millwall will win too....:'(

They won't need a win even if Port Vale win tonight. A point would be sufficient given the variation in their goal differences. Trying to break down a side who come to park the bus, is sadly not one of Blue's specialities.

Double celebration by both teams at RH on Sunday. Blues win and pip Millwall who could only draw and Fleetwood smash the Vale so Bury stay up. Cue joy for both sides.

Vale well done !

Phil and the lads.....be men on Sunday, stand up and be counted, leave nothing out there, give blood sweat and tears...we the fans can only ask give 100%.

Bury just need to avoid defeat, assuming that Port Vale don't win by 11 clear goals at Fleetwood.
And we all know what we are like against teams who come to RH and park the bus.

Will you actually be there on Sunday or is this one of those games you don't really fancy.
