Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd is reportedly in the race to sign Republic of Ireland Under 21 striker Roy O'Donovan.
With Boothroyd (pictured) looking on during a scouting trip to Ireland, the Cork City man, 21, scored once and hit the post in his side's 2-0 win over Waterford United on Tuesday.
And as O'Donovan's contract is due to expire at the end of the season, there are rumours he may be available for a cut-price €500,000 (£330,000).
However, Watford would face competition from several sides should they firm up their interest in the youngster.
Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood has apparently been trailing O'Donovan for almost a year and is believed to be ready to make his move next week.
Hull and Fulham have also been linked with a move for the player, who has scored 20 goals in four months for Cork so far this season.
Are we still interested in him? I know Tilly has long been a fan of him, but what is the situation, I see what are not linked to him in this passage from Skysports.
