Another tie i've waited for, Rock powergods Queen at the height of their Pomp and Splendour (Backpacking Shrimper) vs ermm .. i have absolutely no idea whatsoever !!! ... they do say it is a sign of getting old when you don't know what new music is out there, so i'm now officially old :'(

Over to pringlejon, who is going to introduce me to someone called Jason Mraz evidently :tumbleweed:

Like osy, I rate Queen's first recording as their strongest, and also enjoyed 'News of the World' and 'Jazz' (particularly the outrageous 'Mustapha'), but 'A Night at the Opera' is a decent record, and as I know nothing about the other entry, it's getting my vote. I'll be interested to hear from pringlejon what the Mraz album is all about, and will no doubt try to get a cheeky download over the weekend.

Ah what a fine fairy fellow you are .

I don't really like Queen at all..... but comparing them to Jason Mraz (who I do like!) is just a bit of a non-starter! This is a 'Battle of the Albums' but I can't go on whim like alone... there has to be some contaxt to it all - and I'm not sure that JM will have a musical running for 7 years based on his work! Night at the Opera was one of those albums that helped build their foundation. I guess I like this album more than some of their stuff...

File a Night at the opera along with Tubulars Bells, Sgt Peppers, Journey to the Centre of the Earth and Dark side of the Moon....All in the box marked overrated pretentious bollix

Oh pish they never took themselevs any where near as seriously as those others mention.

Death on two legs , a fine example of pure sillyness

Jazz...what a fantastic album. Would much rather have had that than 'anato'!
Leave on time..awesome stuff!!

Been at uni all day so sorry for late campaign!

i might as well just say "vote for queen", as saying jason mraz is better than queen is like saying rihanna's forehead is smaller than ronnie corbett! both are to most false, but have a listen to mraz cos there arent many quality live performers and songwriters around nowadays!

now if anyone is undecided or doesn't like the monarchy, then i will try and sway you.

1) have you ever seen an album cover with so much effort going in to it.

2) He has a song about a woman's private parts! - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ct4LE45oy8&feature=related

3) He poses topless if any woman want to vote! -

The choice is ultimately yours...a hugely talented musician or one of the most popular bands ever! i'm feeling confident! Happy voting.

Just downloaded the Mraz album, and so far, I'm impressed. I've already voted for Queen, and I'm not sure I'd change my vote, but I would definitely give it some thought if it was an option. I encourage other Zoners who haven't heard this album to give it a try.

thats what i'm looking for!
was it the topless pic that did it?

gotta be happy with 5 votes! 4 more than i expected (well i was never gonna vote for queen!). surely on effort, on the campaign side of things, i should be through though!
