Final game of the day features Steveos Bridge of Sighs (Robin Trower) up against the greatest album of all time ever .. oops, its Crickos job to promote Dark Side of the Moon, and i must stay impartial (yeah right !!!)

Dark side of the moon has sold over 40 million copies since it's release in 1973 and stands in the top 6 of all time album sales.....For now and at this stage of the competition I will let the stats tell you all you need to know about this phenomenal album and just give you a small "taster" for those few people out there who have not (Ha) heard it.

Sorry Steveo I don't even know who this Robert Trousers bloke is.

Sometimes likened to a white mans Jimi Hendrix - far better live.

Dont apologise MK, i'm tempted to vote for Floyd, but i have to show some loyalty to myself.

I don't really feel entitled to vote on this one.

Although I am a bit partial to the Floyd, for all I know, the Robin Trower album may well be the best album ever made it's just no-one introduced me to it. Certainly, like the sound of the Hendrix comparisons (albeit from the guy who nominated the album!!)

Besides, I prefered 'Wish You Were Here' to 'Dark Side of the Moon'.

Don't think I've ever heard Bridge Of Sighs and my dislike of Pink Floyd harbours on the irational. So I'll abstain on this one...was tempted to vote against Dark Side Of The Moon but that's not really fair.

Bridge of Sighs is a great album, and I've done some recording work with Robin Trower at Nightfly Studios and he's a top bloke, so I'll give him a vote even though DSOTM will probably walk it to the final (unfortunately)

edit: argh clicked the wrong button!

Never heard of Robin Trower, and like Libertine I have an irrational dislike of Pink Floyd, I think it's the punk side of me. It's at this point I've just realised no-one nominated P.i.L. - Metal Box. :nope:

I've always liked Robin Trower and the fact he's a local lad all the more so. I believe he was also a member of a band called The Paramounts who had a couple of minor hits in the 60's before he joined Procul Harum.

I also love Floyd and a gig I saw at Earls Court (1973 I think) was one of the greatest gigs I've ever attended. I really loved the early stuff and Piper at the Gates of Dawn gets a regular airing.

I think the Dark Side of the Moon should romp this but I'll give it more thought before voting.

Bit harsh, just cos youve never heard of my pick.

Well i didn't mean any offence, though you are right when you say i don't know your pick, but i suspect DSOTM will go far in this comp, and would've beaten most in the way yours was beaten, whether i knew of the album or not
