Rotherham squad looking "thin".

BBC

They look like they're in a bit of trouble. Can we grab those 3 points to take us (depending on other results of course) top!

I jinxed it yet? Damn I resisted all day to mention it, even in my head but Thought Crime is incurable!

Also I'd like to say that Southend backwards is Dnehtous. When I say that in my head I just hear De Nut 'ouse.

No one likes to hear that!! Mind you we played someone a couple of years ago, possibly mansfield, who were down to the bare bones. They turned us over comfortably!! Fingers crossed not the same effect!!

Always handy when you have one of their ex players on board aswell. Jamal can point out each players' weaknesses and strengths. That has got to be a big bonus coming saturdays game.

Interesting, very interesting. I am sure that we will win 2-1 this weekend. If we play like we did in the first half against Tranmere, we should be comfortable. Got momentum behind us.

Hopefully we will be able to tighten things up at the back with only one clean sheet so far. Last season keeping goals out was the key to our success. Though if I remember rightly it did take a few games to sort out our defence. Lets hope a similar pattern can take place and we can go on from strength to strength.

We do have the ability at the back, I thought Hunt played very well on saturday. But Barret needs to pick up his performances as he has not being playing that great this season.

Hopefully Gowers crosses get past the first defender, and also off the ground this weekend to.

Always worries me when a team is depleted of its regulars. you get a bunch of wannabes on the sidelines all guns blazing to impress. It's ok if they lose 2 or 3 regulars as it can disturb the continuity, but when you get 5, 6 etc out then you have basically a whole team of hungry wannabe's.

No Fear.

Hunt and Edwards have been our most consistant performers at the back for the best part of this season so far, but like yourself I am slightly worried about Barrett's current form and Che's ability to consistantly cut it at this level. Hopefully both are adjusting to the step up from league 2 and will reach the high standards they set from last season.

Not available till the 1st Oct
Making him eligible for the Gillingham game I take it?
Does indeed.

Have to say I'm always concerned when a club reports it has problems, as it usually means they play out of their skins! Look at Chester away last term, for example....

glad someone else realises it. barratt has not adapted as easily to league 1 as everyone thought he would

Barrett has been average this season - obviosuly if you compare him to last season he has been abysmal. but I still feel the boy will be back to his best soon. Form is temporary, class is forever.
