Manager⭐🦐
Found this memory jerker on the British Pathe News website.

http://www.britishpathe.com/record.php?id=44361

Great little clip just over a minute long of a training session at Roots Hall in October 1966 with Roberts, Smillie and manager Williams then going walkabout in the new Roots Hall Market which was going to be the financial saviour of SUFC as, according to the clip, we were £60,000 in the red and football revenue alone could not sustain the club; some things never change.......

But for those who remember the old Roots Hall with only parts of the North Bank and East and West stands covered it'll jog a few memories; and how about the, players?, cars parked at the top of the North West corner?

The ending had my ****ing myself, it was so funny. "On the road to financial stability, they've got plenty of other ideas... including PROMOTION!"

hahaha

great find, really enjoyed it!

Fair do's, Cricko, missed that one.

One - nil to you!

Would also go along with you about Trevor Roberts, or was it Trefor? remember arguing that to death back in the day; I argued it was Trevor as that's what it said in the programme, my Welsh mate argued that all Welsh Trevors were Trefors! Absolute hero of mine when I first started at the Hall in '66, top keeper and played for Wales when they were a bit more of an international force than they are now, sadly.
