This could be a tough one, one of the modern greats against a well loved classic.

24 (Kent Shrimper)
v
Columbo (maninasuitcase)

Columbo, never watched 24 - see, told you just don't do these modern US drama shows.

24 made a big bang when it first came out no doubt about that, but how many times can the same guy save the USA?

Got to be the Columbo, best detective ever?

Im not sure there are better Heroes than Jack Bauer, i don't think i know anyone who loves there country more, well our very own J maybe!!!

hahaha this has to be a ****-take surely? 24 is one of the greatest things that's ever been on TV.

Some facts about Columbo, from my memory.

Patrick McGohan (The Prisoner), a friend of Falk, appeared in 4 episodes he also directed 3 of those and wrote one.

Martin Landau, Rollin' hand in Mission Impossible, played identical twins.

Ray Milland, Oscar winner for The Lost Weekend, played a murderer in one episode and the victim's husband in another.

John Cassavete, oscar nominated actor for The Dirty Dozen and friend of Falk appeared as a murderous orchestra conductor.

Robert Culp of I Spy appeared several times as a murderer and also the father of murderer in a late episode.

Robbie the Robot from Lost in Space made a guest appearance.

Janet Leigh killed in the Psycho shower scene murderers her husband (Sam Jaffe) in order resume her dancing career not knowing she has a brain disease.

Star Trek is well represented with Shatner (twice) Nimoy and Koenig all making appearances, also Ricardo Montalban pops up as a mufderer.

24 is by far and away the greatest thing to come out of the United States since the A-Team. You can argue with this, but then Jack will come and find you, and hunt you down. Your choice.

I love 24 but,
also used to enjoy columbo although the repeats on Sky channels do seem so outdated now and I love looking at some of the hairstyles/clothes from that time and for that reason only think I will go with Columbo
