True Blood is an American television drama series created and produced by Alan Ball. It is based on the The Southern Vampire Mysteries series of novels by Charlaine Harris. The show is broadcast on the premium cable network HBO in the United States. It is produced by HBO in association with Ball's production company, Your Face Goes Here Entertainment. It premiered on September 7, 2008.
The show's second 12-episode season premiered on June 14, 2009. On July 30, 2009, HBO confirmed that a third season of True Blood will be released in the summer of 2010. Alan Ball has said that he plans to start shooting the third season before Christmas 2009.
True Blood details the co-existence of vampires and humans in Bon Temps (meaning "good times" in French), a fictional small Louisiana town. The series centers on Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), a telepathic waitress at a bar, who falls in love with vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer).
The first season received critical acclaim and won several awards, including one Golden Globe.

CSI

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is an American crime drama television series. CSI premiered on CBS on October 6, 2000. The show was created by Anthony E. Zuiker and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. It is filmed primarily at Universal Studios in Universal City, California.
CSI trails the investigations of a team of Las Vegas forensic scientists as they unveil the circumstances behind mysterious and unusual deaths and other crimes. For the first eight and a half seasons, the show starred actor William Petersen as Dr. Gil Grissom, the night shift supervisor who excels in crime scene investigation. In the middle of the ninth season, William Petersen left the show and was replaced by actor Laurence Fishburne as Dr. Raymond Langston, a former medical doctor who turns criminalist in an attempt to rid himself of past demons.
Reception of the show is good with ratings making it the number one show on the CBS network several times in its history, although it has been criticized for its inaccurate portrayal of how police investigations are performed and for its often extremely violent depictions of the crime. CSI has been nominated numerous times for industry awards and has won nine awards during its history. The success of the program has led it to be spun off into two additional shows, an exhibit at Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry, a series of books, and several video games.

True Blood is excellent, and something completely different, and talking of fit black women....

CSI is excellent. I love it.

I prefer Vegas, like Miami and never really got into New York despite it being exactly the same format. Some of the birds in the show are top notch as well.

In this day and age, a show doesn't go 10 seasons unless it's great. Nor does it get 2 spinoffs.

My main complaint about the show? They've not had a episode/story with the three main leads in it. They've crossed Miami and NYC over a couple of times, but they've never crossed all three over.
